Is this a good computer build for this price and for a beginer to build?

Really nice for the price. Get 1866 MHz ram though because the Trinity/Llano APUs like higher ram speeds. It's only about $7 more. What OS are you going to use, and most people don't need the optical drive anymore.
 
thank you PCunicorn. the OS that i'm going to use is my friend's old windows 7 after he upgraded to windows 8.

Unless he had the full version of windows 7 and not the OEM version you are fine. If its the OEM version, you won't be able to use it.
 
Fury, AMD support is just as good as Nvidia these days. Really since the 10.6 release there has not been that many issues.
