Ok at the moment I have a Biostar P4VTB ver.1.1 S478 M/B. It houses a gig of Elixir brand DDR3200, and a 2.7Ghz Celeron 128 L2/ 800Mhz FSB. I have a pny Geforce6800 GT 256 MB w/ OCing ability. Minus the processor I think its an ok system I play my games well. I decided to buy a new CPU the other day and this what crossed my mind.
I was looking at a 3.0Ghz Northwood 512/ 800, and a 2.8... my board only goes to 3.2 support. I can OC either one to that speed most likely with the Zalman cnp9500 right? So would it be better to just buy the 2.8 Northwood or the 3.0 and push it to say ~3.5Ghz not sure if the MB can take it.
So pls give all and any feedback thank you
