Is this a good PSU?

As long as you do not have a huge OC on the CPU that should be fine for the system. I barely meets the PSU requirements but PC P&C is a great PSU manufacturer so you should be fine.

I would not run it on a 500w. Specs say minimum of 600w and 42a on the +12v rail.

the 600 watt will be fine. You will not power any 480 on a 500 watt supply unless the card is the only thing running on the supply. You need 42 amps (504 watts) as a bare minimum with no overclock on anythng to safely run GTX 480. The Silencer mark III has 46 amps on teh 12 volt rail, so you are good there.

Awesome thanks. I was concerned with weather or not is was a good quality PSU or not, especially at that price and it being semi-modular.

If you can spare the extra cash it would be a good idea to get a PSU with a bit more wattage to allow for future upgrades but it would not be necessary with your current PC.

600W should be enough, I'd get maybe a 700 or 750W unit though to give yourself a little headroom.
