Is this a good set-up for a gaming computer? Would run games such as BF3 and DAYZ.

As it was already explained in previous thread, the 550Ti won't be able to deliver ultra high setting with 60 fps. But don't get me wrong, you can still play BF3 well but not on ultra ihgh settings.

Everything else should be fine i think.

Go for a 6850 over a 550 Ti and you want to get the GA-Z77-D3H, not the GA-Z77M-D3H, unless you have a micro ATX case.

Wouldn't there be more benefit from a i3 and a 7850 or higher rather than an i5 and a lower end card?

DENTHER, that is a very good thought. makes alot of sense to me, since it will play games all day (the i3 i mean), and will also keep it possible to upgrade to any higher cpu later when its really needed.

what is your budget? :)

was looking around 1k, and that's including Win 7 O/S , so around 900 maybe for the computer?, was thinking:

Gigabyte ATX GA-Z77-D3H
Intel Core i5 3570k 3.4ghz
Nvidia GTX 560ti 1gb Asus PCI
1 TB Western Digital 3.5" 7200rpm sata 6gb/s
DDR3 8gb (2x4g) G.skill 1600 Mhz Ripjaws

This all falls into my 1k budget?

so What parts do you suggest me getting within a 1k budget?

is your budget in us dollars or pounds? the build i'm getting at the moment is £660 for the computer without monitor etc :) and apparently it will run Battlefield 3 on ultra settings :)
