not really. The 8600 is just a midrange card. Will play COD4 on med/low, BF2 on max, fear on medium/high, farcry on max, cnc3 on medium high, crysis barely at all. Its not a high-end gaming card (8800 is a gaming card, but it needs way more power requirements and a largeish case)
