Better to get the san diego core over the hammer, How much are you paying, and where are you buying from

just looking at newegg and they are on the same page
san diego and hammer

i guess im going to try and find cpu 101 so i can understand alittle more of what i should get

thing is im trying to build a really good gaminrig."not really much of a limiting budget" here, but need to know more about best bang for the buck

hope you understand what i just freakin wrote

if ur short on cash go with the 3800 and then overclock to a bit higher. but if ur not worrying about moeny then buy the 4000 and u will have a great computer. its single core and will be really fast paired with a gig of ram and a ncie grahpics card.

im probably going to get a sli mobo
not even sure if the 4000 is compatible

a 7800gt or gtx v/c (later another for sli)
s/c,1 or 2 gb of ram, 120mm fan low dB,
jbod raptors(maybe raid)

thing is im very new and not even sure where to start

and yessssss i probley will oc if i have the ability to do so...been reading up on my sept04 maximum pc "guide to building a dream pc" for alot of info that really help me as a beginner...
