57C isnt bad for an Athlon XP. Speedfan just has generic values for what it thinks is too hot, but it varies greatly with each processor. The temps there are fine.

ah ok. on pc wizard it says my chassis fan is at 4927 rpm but my processor fan is only 2500. is it possible (if needed) to increase it?

Your "chassis" fan may be smaller then your CPU fan, and therefor can run at higher RPM's. Dont expect all fans to run at the same speed, 2500 seems about right for a stock XP fan.

oh ok. i might as well ask this in this topic instead of making a new one. would my computer be alright for overclocking?

dont bother oc'ing, temps over 70 greatly reduce processor life.

you can also change the values of normal temps, and high temps on speedfan

read the speedfan "help guide"

Yep, 37 is good. The lowest that I've ever seen a processor is 21C, and that was mine after I upgraded the cooling.
