Is this case ATX compatible?

Hi,

A few questions...

First, is the case in the attached picture ATX compatible? My current board(GA-MA74GM-S2) is mATX but there are extra screw holes present on the case...?

I was thinking of getting an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition. From reading I understand this means its unlocked for overclocking vs. a non-black edition like the 1055T. I don't plan on overclocking, so what should I go for?

Since I'd have to get a new board for the AM3 CPU socket, I understand I'll have to get some DDR3 RAM. My hard drive is a 400GB Seagate ST3400832AS.

The drive is a SATA 1 or 1.5. I read about SATA connectors and I don't seem to read anything about them being any different from the 7 pin configuration. So can I plug my first revision SATA drive into the mobo's SATA II or SATA III port? I ask because if not then I will order another drive with the parts.

And finally as a general question on mobos, I seem to be reading a lot of bad on MSI. Is this generally true or have things shaped up more? I'm thinking of going with a gigabyte.

I highly recommend Gigabyte motherboards. Asus would be the next company to go with and then MSI. Your case supports ATX motherboards. Your hard drive is only SATA 1 and I would recommend replacing it as its getting old. Plus why use slower hardware on faster technology? By chance do you know the model of case you have?
