That should do fine for gaming just not on high setings but maybe medium. and i would upgrade to at least 1GB of ram if your videocard is a HyperMemory one.

That seems very nice, and is a decent gaming laptop. However if you go with the Inspiron E1705 you can get the 7900GS, which would be much better.

I would go with 1GB as well.

As for the video, it has 128MB dedicated and 128MB hypermemory, but its different then normal intergrated graphics. With that cards hypermemory, it only uses the system ram if the video card require more than 128mb total video memory. Otherwise it doesnt use your system ram.

hey thx I didint even know what hyper memory meant.i looked at that laptop but i cant find it on the canadian website. would it have another name or something? or is there a laptop about the same with that video card. i guess i can skip getting pro. if the lappy i get can run vista "when it comes out..."

this laptop that you would be getting wouldnt run vista cause vista is 64 bit and this processor i beieilve is 32 bit so it wont work and i dont think that graphics card would be able to handle vista anyway.

It seems that the Intel Core Duo processors that are all the rage these days may be a little more powerful than Intel would have you know. Thanks to a little detective work, it’s been discovered that the processors, deep down inside, are actually 64-bit compatible. Yes, that Core Duo you have right now is a 64-bit chip. Intel openly admits that its Sossaman chips are 64-bit, but does not mention this fact about its consumer-targetted Yonah chips, despite the fact that the two are one in the same. What consumer (or geek) would not want to play around with a 64-bit Linux distribution, or Windows 64-bit for that matter? Intel may just have some explaining to do.

There ya go.

thats good to know. i noticed to on the bottom of the page it says its vista compatable. thx everyone i think ill go with this laptop then.

Windows Vista is going to be released in 64-Bit and 32-Bit versions.

It's not a true 64-Bit, unless you have to make some modifications to it. Because I had a core duo laptop a month or two ago, and i tried installing 64-Bit versions of Windows XP Pro and Vista BETA, and they all said that my CPU wasnt compatible (however my Athlon 64 worked perfectly with the same CD).
