No, the 7800GS is the worst one out of those.

For future, you can tell by the model nummber for the most part, the 7900 series is better then the 7800 series.
 
7900GS: Is this good for more performance, rather than just running a big game (compared to the 512MB 7900GTO) or does it need to run in SLI to be a competitor.

7900GTO: Does this have performance like the 7900GS.

I would like PERFORMANCE :P :P :P :P :P

The 7900 GTO is the highest performing card you mentioned above.

2 7900GS's in SLI would be faster than 1 7900GTX in some cases I would not go SLI.

What CPU are you going to be pushing these with? What resolution are you going to be playing at? If 1280x1024 the 7900GS would be fine for most everything. :P
