If i have let's say 10 pcs and i want to install xp, should i buy 10 xps, or i can use 1 for all.

Depends on what type of XP CD/Key you have. I have used some that are only able to be used one time, but my dad has a few he got from M$ that can be used on up to 10 diff machines each i believe. You'll just have to try it...

you can get special network versions, im not sure if they are easy to get hold of, and from what i've heard they cost quite a bit

hmm yah that's probably what i was referring to. didn't know what they were called.

Depends if the Licence is a multiuser key.

If not then u need another activation key(s).
