Its definitly a nice laptop. Depending on how you use it, maybe you could use more hard drive space.

It looks like it will do well in gaming. I am personally unsure if they are putting Core Duo 2 processors in laptops, if they are then you should wait.

One more suggestion would be to get another battery. If this is going to be your main computer and your traveling with it a lot. It looks like its pretty power hungry, so an extra battery couldnt hurt.

if i need more harddrive space ill probabaly get a external harddrive but i havent even come close to using 60GBs in a while so i dont think ill need a upgrade in that.

i really dont think i need the core duo 2 because this should be fast enough for what i need although if somebody can confirm that there is going to be a core duo 2 in laptops i might wait.

it is going to be my main computer cause my dell desktop aint working that well anymore and i proaly will use it for traveling i dont know yet.

ill probably get another battery off of ebay because it should be cheaper.

what does everyone else think of this laptop. is it worth it to have the 2 year warranty. and when core duo 2 comes out is there going to be one for notebooks or is it just for desktops.

That looks like an excellent laptop, the battery should give you a good 2.5-4 hours of use, depending on how you use it.

I know they are having the Core 2 Duo's in laptops, however im not sure how soon Dell will implement then in their laptops, so it may be a while.

The Core Duo is very fast, and is an excellent processor.

ok thanks. do you think i should wait for the core duo 2 or will this processor be fine

and do you think i should get the 4 year warranty and 4 year complete care and accidental package is it worth the extra money or should i just skip it and keep the standard warranty and save some money.

is there much difference between the processor i chose and the core duo 2 ghz one how much faster will it be.
