Is this mobo good?

What are you going to use this system for? Are you going to just use it for browsing the Internet or video games or something else that requires a lot of processing power?

If you are gaming, are you looking to do CrossFire X or SLI?

Edit: If you are going to use it for gaming, what video games are you looking to play?

What's your old MB?

The MB you posted is a great one, with room for expansion. Although it is out of stock, it has a good review. Also has great choices in standard RAM speeds + multiple PCI-E spots.

ya...srry bout the wait...i have dual 6850's for xfire...8GB(2x4GB)DDR3, 1600...and using it to GAME!!! ;)
And using my current i5 2500k

Like and dislike it. Here's why:

Good points--
-northbridge looks solid, better than i've seen on some other boards at this price point
-dual ps/2 ports so you can boot without worrying about the usb ports messing with startup
-default 1600mhz memory controller, and 2133mhz ceiling is very good
-capable of quad sli and quad crossfire for more options
-onboard 7.1 audio, and pci/pci x1 slots for more soundcard options
-debug led
-japanese capacitors
-very high memory capacity

Bad points--
-only one pci-e can run at x16, it would be nice to see 2 or 3 x16 lanes running at full x16
-don't like the white/blue/white/blue memory slot config, white/white/blue/blue is better for clearance by the cpu cooler
-no onboard video
-could use more sata6 slots

Really really small gripes with it, overall looks like a solid buy for the money.

It is, for the price, the best board you can get with the features that you get with it, and the cheapest board that offers dual PCIe x16 lanes at 8/8, whilst still maintaining excellent quality

Board looks good, judging by the MOFSET heatsinks you might have trouble mounting large coolers to the board. Maybe not, but judging by the picture it looks so.

thanks guys...il be putting a hyper 212+ on th i5...so hopefully it fits....im going to go with it... thanks again..n srry for replying SOOO late...works a killer... :( lol :)

the 212+ should fit nicely :) I was talking about beastly huge coolers like the NH-D14 or the V8/V10/V6GT
