Ive just built my first ever PC, it works fine- when i power it on all the fans spin. But when i power on there is a ~Beep Beep~ all the fans spin for a few seconds, then stop. Followed by another Beep Beep, then a few seconds later the fans will stop. This keeps happening, over and over again- Is this normal?

Beep codes are not a standard. We need to know what motherboard you are running.

Also, don't bump your post more than once a day. A majority of teh users on the forum are from the USA, and you posted at 9AM. Give it time.

Seems you have a hardware issue, most likely bad memory. Try one stick at a time or different memory if you have any available.

so ive had a play around with the memory, ive used one at a time moved it into different positions etc. But still ~beep beep~ start then stop.

Try some other memory first. If it still happens, its some other hardware issue and would have to be diagnosed. Try resetting the cmos, it may help.

ive found what it is, i only screwed in the motherboard in the corners so it wasnt fixed to the case properly, because of that the RAM didnt go in properly.
What a derp :P

But i got another problem, the screen on the monitor is just black-nothing. Ive definitely fixed the ram issue and theres definitely nothing wrong with the monitor.

No, i only put them in the corners.
DERP

Rude comments are not liked around here. If you don't have the correct amount of standoffs and in the correct places the. You are most likely grounding out the motherboard to the case which would cause the no video issue.
