Is this normal?

I have only AVG antivirus and google chrome turned on. And I saw in task manager, that cpu usage is about 20 percent and memory about 900mb. Is that normal? I mention the memory. Its about half of all.

It depends what cpu and memory you have installed if you have say a quad core at 4ghz it would idle at 0-2% if you had a single core 4ghz it will use more power to idle, so it depends but 20% to run both seems ok.too. In regards to memory 900mb is ok.

What can it be. I have this situation.While playing online game, ping suddenly rises from 67 to 300 and I noticed that at the same time, CPu usage rises from 30 percent to 40-50 sometimes 60 percent. How can I fix this?
