ok so i hear that having your OS system on a ssd works faster than on a hdd. i have a laptop that just died and i want to take the ssd out of it and remove teh windows xp OS off of it and move the win7 OS i have on my HDD to the ssd. Is this possible? and if so how exactly would it work?

You would need to do a fresh install of the OS as you really don't want to clone an OS to the SSD so that you get the best performance out of it.

you can only use the .iso of the version you have a key code to. you could upgrade, but you will need a new code, and thats the price of a new copy of windows.
Really, for 90+% of people, Home premium is all they need, and thats probably what you have.

your first post said you wanted to move 7 from the HDD to the SSD. You can use the right .iso for that, but you will need to use your current keycode from the windows 7 computer.

If you are trying to put 7 on the laptop, you will need a new windows license to do that.
