i found this ASUS on newegg.com and it says that it has 512MB of video memory... could it actually mean 512MB or is it something like 256MB with turbocache/hypermemory?

According to the description it has 512MB of dedicated video memory, whether or not this is a typo or is actually the real thing.

yeah i saw that... but i wasn't sure... you know of any ways to figure it out for sure Geoff? should i try contacting newegg.com or NVIDIA?

I did some searching and it turns out that nVidia does make a 512MB version of the GeForceGo 7600. So I see no reason why that laptop would be incorrect.

yes yes you can have a dedicated 512 with nvidia, laptops are catching up fast woot

it looks really good n well configured, i think it has those new shareing tech. for the GPU card. it hard to find 512MB on a laptop with such a price...
