Hi all,
Now i wonna upgrade my computers memory,
My comp currently has 2 sticks of 256Mb Pc3200.
Well what i wanted to do is remove one stick of 256Mb and replace it with a stick of 1Gb so is it possible to have a stick of 1Gb and a stick of 256Mb running together?
The 1Gb stick will be the same speed as the 256Mb stick (Pc3200)
I dont want to buY 2 sticks of 512 because i would rather just buy 1Gb stick and add it alongside my 256.
I only have 2 slots on my motherboard for memory and my maximum sopported ram is 2Gb.
So realy i want as much ram as i can get in there.
So basicly is this what i would get......?
1024 + 256 = 1280
Then i would have to take away 64 because intergrated graphics......
1280 - 64 = 1216Mb
