Is this power supply good enough

Ok I have a raidmax 730watts power supply and I use and phenom ii x4 955 be processor and a hd 6970 gpu and I'm wondering if this is enough power for that because the other day I went to plug a USB device in and my comp just shut off and I don't know what that means but it's runnig good now please help me
 
Raidmax is not a very good brand to go with. The power supply is the backbone of your system and you shouldn't be skimping on it. When the cheap brands go out, they usually take other hardware out with it. Definately get a decent brand by corsair, antec, ocz, pc power and cooling.
 
you probably short circuited your PC.has happen to me plenty of times,i go to pluging in my usb drive/device and some how it will get semi-pluged in and it will touch the metal to short circuit.
 
sounds like a short circuit-could be in whatever you plugged it--had a set of speakers with a short in the cord-would shut down whenever plugged it. does it power up like before?
