is this powerful enough for gaming?

i am looking to build a budget gaming computer and i mean budget. so i was wondering if this mother board http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-GA...x1-Gigabit/dp/B000OUF754/ref=pd_bxgy_ce_img_b
plus this processor http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Athlon-Retail-3-0GHz-2000MHz/dp/B000MNA07I/ref=pd_bxgy_ce_img_b
would be powerful enough do some quite highend gaming coupled with probably a 8800gt

A Core 2 Duo/Quad would be best for gaming, but that should be just fine.
