I think I'm getting a quite a good deal. Should I bump up the processor to E6700 or are they close enough (e6600 / e6700)?

Well, compare it to the computer in my sig, which cost me just over £1300, and I built myself.

Im actually a tad annoyed, cos you have a 19-inch TFT in that build as well. grr

Well, the Core 2 Duo's are apparently superb overclockers, so just go for the e6600. Doubt its worth spending more for the e6700.

google says about $2,568.50. I dono, without all the extra stuff and monitor that system definetly does not work that much. With it..dono...still looks overpriced to me.

You're making the assumption that if the above build was on sale in America, that it would retail for $2568.50.

"When you make assumptions, you make an ass out of yourself."

I would certainly buy it, but I can't even afford a down payment on a free lunch, so I guess I'm out of luck. I tried pimping myself out but I couldn't get any takers. :(

So far... its a bargain in the UK. Dunno about the US or Canada but its a good deal here.
