is this temp normal?

Well, is it Clecius or F? if Celcius, then it is very high! if it is F....well, i'm not familair with them, but it seems to be ok for surE! it seems quite nice.... please specify if it is F or Celcius.....

Those are not very high temps for celcius. They could be a little better though. I generally run 57-60C idle, and 67-70C under load. As long as your not going very much over 80C, I think you should be alright.

well even at 60C, its qite high! my computer is burning at 50C! Byut i think he meant F......

Are you talking about GPU or CPU? And those temps in F would be extremely good.

well, if you can, touch it......if you feel its in a bad condition, then their might be something wrong. Ading a fan would be good. If you wish, you can post a picture of your PC (with the side panel off) and perhaps we can help in a better circulation plan. simply state where your fans are, and GPU, HD, etc. but i can't say if its high or not......but it does seem high.

and, and for the CPU temp, simply downlaod the free softwear Speedfan .....you can find it on softpedia.com

I also wondered....how do you find out your GPU temp?

ati tools does ati cards, and for nvidia cards you can find it through the drivers. Ofcourse, your vid card has to have a temp diode on it in order to read the temperature.

Also @ vir-k, those temps dont seem that bad, though it could be a bit better. What card do you have?

I am so glad to hear that having 80-87C GPU temp when playing a game ,for(geforce 6200 SE turbo catch card} is normal , I thought my vid card is going to melllllllllllllllllttttttttttt away.

That seems slithy high to me. I usted to have a 6200 turbo cache, max temps were lower than 80*C. Check to see if there's good flow in your case, and no dust, that will help.
