Is This The Right Heatsink And Fan?

hi guys, i got this barebone kit from tigerdirect:

and i bought this heat sink and fan for it:

i'am woundering if the heat sink and fan will work with this setup? thxs for your time, shawn

That board is AM3 and the heatsink is for AM2/940/939/754. I don't know if the AM2 stock bracket fits on an AM3 socket though.

Thats the best thing about AMD all the heatsinks (AM2, AM2+ and AM3) all have the same mounting system! Unlike Intel which try and grab more money out of your pockets by making 775 1366 1566 w.e haha

thanks for all your replies, now i can patiently wait for it to arrive and put it together and give it back to my freinds. thanks again guys, the guy i bought it from said it wouldnt fit....i just wanted to make sure.

All Intel cpu's come with coolers, therefore they have nothing to gain from cpu coolers having different mounts. :good:
