Is Vista getting faster or am I on crack?

Just kidding in the title obviously

Anyone else noticing faster startup times in Vista than it used to be? Both my computers now rarely show the 'welcome' splash screen anymore, when it always showed on my laptop last year.

Just an observation...

not personally, i have so many programs though, and both my hard drives have less than 20gb free...

after a while vista should be starting faster since it has this thing that loads programs into RAM so after time loading does become faster.

sorry for not giving proper names for it but i cant remember....
