I'm getting setup soon & would like some recommendations. Here is what i'm getting so far.
Dual heat gun/solder iron station, still looking in th $60-$70 range.
Anti static mat & wristband
Non magnetic bit set & driver,if its made.Would like to save space but idk if non magnetic kits are made.

Where about`s are you so people can point you to local retailers ?

You can get magnetic and non magnetic, most pc toolkits will come non magnetic as there are some that believe magnetized tools could damage hardware.

I have both kinds of set and by far use the magnetic tools more as they are quicker and handy if you drop a screw, i have never had any problem with them damaging hardware.

any anti-static mat should do pretty much the same.

The heat/solder gun is the only part you need to pick carefully.

:o http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0U00AG0820 I ordered a AGPtek 878AD 2 in 1 station for $68.99.I know its probably just a 3/5 star(average),but better than the cheap $5 15W iron or $10 heat gun. This was within my budget.Shipping was free:D!I need to look around for iron tip replacements, only came with 1:(.It looks like the same size used in most other ones I seen.I will get a better one later on.This one seemed like a good starter for tight budget.
The company site doesn't list the product though which makes me nervous about replacement parts & warranty.

Magnetic would be fine for most of the system but don't go near the HDD. It's just asking for trouble.

Get a non magnetic set of tools and one of these
