ISP problem

I have a linksys e1000 wireless router. My desktop pc is plugged into the router. When my pc is plugged in I get internet, but when I try to connect my laptop wirelessly or ethernet, while the desktop is plugged in I get a few different errors or problems:
1. error message that says there's an IP address conflict
2. error message that says 2 or more devices are using the same IP address
3. it connects to the network but gets no internet

The same thing happens to the desktop, if the laptop is connected to the network before the desktop is turned on.
The first device to connect is the only device that will get internet.
How do I fix this?

Resetting your router may help, but it sounds like either your wireless network adapter or your PC's network card..one of the 2 or both has been manually given an IP address. To check you can click on Control Panel, then go into 'Network and Internet', then under Network and Sharing Center click on 'view network status and tasks'; under the "view your active networks you should see 'Connections' on the right side. Click on either the "wireless Network Connection" or "Local Area Connection". Once this is on screen. click at the bottom on "Properties". Once on this next page look through the list for Internet Protocol Version 4. Just highlight it and click on the properties button that appears underneath. Once in here make sure both those are on Obtain an IP address and DNS server automatically. Once you've clicked OK your network card will reconnect and you shouldn't have anymore problems.
