Issue with cpu and motherboard

I have an AMD athlon 2800+ cpu (model: AXDA2800kv4d) which has a 333 fsb as far as I can tell, that Ive sold to somebody using an MSI K7N2 Delta2 board, http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=617


Thing is, the cpu was working before I sold it, but the user says its now dead. As far as I can tell, that board and this cpu are compatible right?
Just seems odd to me the cpu would suddenly not work, as the computer doesnt beep or show an image or anything.

it looks compatable to me, what i'd do is ask for the processor back and test it again in the origonal setup in wich you knew it worked. If it works then it must be a compatability issue of some sort.

They may have damaged the cpu when installing, or you may have hurt it when removing.
