Issues after latest Nvidia download.

I recently downloaded the latest version on Nvidia's Geforce Experience along with the latest drivers for my GTX 670 (v372.90 - release date 9/20).

Since the download I'm experiencing sometimes severe choppiness when gaming. I play in full-screen mode and when I hit to Windows Key to view another tab my screen goes black for a few seconds before my other tabs show up. Nothing else has changed recently except for the Nvidia download so I'm thinking that's the cause.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is it possible to go back to my previous driver? If so, can a noob like me do it?

thanks :)

Nvidia notified me of updates through Geforce Experience and I updated so i'm guessing I downloaded over the previous version. I'm terrified of doing a clean install since I'm more of an appliance operator and don't trust my ability to pull it off ;)

I always do the clean install.. just click custom and check the box that says 'clean install' the PC does the rest!! I have faith you can do it!

Well since I already downloaded the current driver It won't give me the option of downloading it again as a clean install. I will take your advice though and do it when another driver is available.

Thank you very much for your quick replies.

Just go into Add/Remove programs and delete the drivers manually, you don't need to rely on Nividia to update to try again.

After you do that, re-run the Nvidia software and do 'clean install' anyhow..just to make sure there are no remnants left behind, and you're back in business
