Its not getting through

Okay... when it comes to having more than one hard drive... its not getting through to me. I've always had 1 HD, the C: drive. I've heard having 2 little hard drives in RAID is better because they use their own RPMs and dont have to split it up between them.

The thing is, if I have a computer with 2 HD on RAID, do I have a C and D drive? Will I have to decide what gets installed where? Help please... sorry.

Have a look at RAID101. Many people use RAID to combine two disks, lets say a 250GB and another 250GB, to get the computer to recognize it as 1 C: drive with 500GB. There are numerous types of RAID.

Exactly what I mean, the computer will recognize it as 1 C: drive, BUT! when I install, for example.... Photoshop, do I get to chose what drive it goes in to? So that I may put my games and programs on one, and files on the other?

That way, my games and programs dont have to use the RPMs from the other drive, having their own... making it faster.... the whole point of RAID.

Well when your installing somthing it ask's for a place to put it..... Tell it to put the file where you want....
