iTunes for VISTA.

Buy-it PC

I just completed an installation for a client today with VISTA HOME PREM. and when I visited Apple.com website to download the latest version of iTunes, it will not work with VISTA because it only supports ME/2000/XP - has anyone experienced this problem in VISTA - just curious before I consider installing it on my workstation(s)?????

:confused:

Hi,

I have Vista Ultimate (32bit edition) and i have installed all the programs i use (apart from one which is black ice) and they worked great.

I was told Cubase SX3 wouldn't work on Vista but it did and i have to say it works well lol. Apparently the 32bit edition shouldn't have problems running most XP programs so give it ago! I'll try itunes tonight as you've just reminded me of a program i need !

hope that helps

this is one of the reasons i say don't get vista to everyone
what does it say when you try to intall it?

It gave me an error about installation... apparently on Apple's website it only states: "Windows 2000 or XP"

Windows Requirements

* Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or later or Windows XP
* 500 MHz Pentium class processor or better
* QuickTime 7.1.5 (included)
* 256MB RAM
* Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive to burn CDs
* Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music

No mentioned of VISTA... interesting... although my customer doesn't have an iPod - it just tells me that some applications will not work with VISTA as of yet. Especially those people who have an iPod and uses iTUNES of course to install and configure their music...

Very sad to me. If anyone gets a fix, let me know. I have a beta copy of VISTA even in 64-bit - which is not a problem to install and test... but in case it doesn't I like to know my options.

Thanks!
