Hey. I'm having a problem with iTunes for Windows. I can't get to the music store. everytime I try, it shows a message saying "iTunes could not connect to the music store. The network connection has been timed out" I don't know what's wrong. My friend's iTunes music store works fine...does anyone know what to do? Thanks to everyone in advance. :)

do you have a network/internet connection on your computer itself...or is just itunes that can't access the internet?

I'm sorry if these is seeming pointless I'm just trying to get a full understanding of the problem:)

Do you have any other firewalls turned on? (i.e. Norton, ca, etc.) or have you updated these firewalls recently?

Do you have cable/dsl?

If so do you go through a router or does your computer connect directly to the modem?

Download ZoneAlarm Personl Firewall (free) and install it. Try connecting to the iTunes Music Store and choose "Allow" on the message that pops up. You should be able to connect now.
I find that using ZoneAlarm is the only way for me to get most internet-using programs to be able to connect. Without ZoneAlarm, I can't even get IE7 to connect...

I have DSL and I use a router. Oh and I don't think Zonealarm works with norton Firewall if they are running at the same time does it?

If so do you go through a router or does your computer connect directly to the modem?
