iTunes sucks

In XP I definitely prefer WMP 10 there since 11 more or less stinks! 11 is more or less intended for Vista being the newer version and works well there. Itunes however is still a good alternative for listening to music while I certainly prefer WMP or Cyberlink's PowerDVD over Quicktime since that always comes with any automatic update of Itunes. Yet certain Quicktime elements are required when using IE for online content.

Agreed full with PC_Eye there. Solid point.
I won't say itunes suck, never had an issue with it, has serve me well with my Ipod

i honestly cant decided in some ways Itunes is better but in other WMP is im sorry this dont really help lol

itunes sucks ass big time. it is slow to start up, unresponsive, and confusing as hell to sync. i really wish you could use MSC with the ipod touch.

lol its not the programme its the user
No the program just sucks. wmp is faster at boot plus I hate all the stupid updates it does. I just feel like it's apples way of trying to covert windows users. Thats why I am thinking of getting a zune, do those work off wmp?

YOu gotta be kidding
Itunes is ok providing you know how to even use it.I never used it, until i got my ipod and i didn't find anything wrong my first use of it.
here we go again, why bring Apple into this ? (even if it's their product)

I only had 2 problems with ITunes:
1. When starting a new song the game was lagging, so when playing a multiplayer FPS was very likely to get yourself killed
2. Album art not updating/changing

A few months ago i was having problems with Itunes on my Vista X64 machine,it would always crash or just not start up,even after re-install many times.

However i downloaded the latest version last week and it runs great, must have been a problem with the previous version i had on there.

i dont have a Ipod though,I use Itunes just for the Internet radio thing it has its great.

Agreed.

Know how to use it? Itunes is a easy software that I would imagine everyone knows how to use. And I bring up apple because there software is suppose to be great (isn't that why some people switch to mac, cause the software is better?) but I have use Itunes and the safari program (that I got off the apple update) and I think both apple programs I have use suck so far.

iTunes has worked seamlessly for me in the past, granted I was using it on a powerful computer, and I only stopped using it because I went over to the Zune, and now I use the Zune software.

I agree, and would much prefer to use wmp than itunes. Though in reality I use winamp. The only thing I use itunes for is getting songs on my ipod :P

For XP WMP 10, Itunes are both great there opposed to the XP version of WMP 11. Too many complaints on that. I keep Itunes on both XP and Vista alike and don't mind the occasion update especially on Vista.

The thing to note about WMP over Itunes is simply video playback whether a dvd movie you toss in or an mpeg capture plus the custom playlist option for audio is a little easier while ITunes is a little limited in some ways for that. I never see one problem running Itunes while WMP 7, 8, 9, 10, and now 11 have seen problems at times being MS. Video playback in WMP. Both players do see the visualizations option while playing audio however.

yeah i too have had issues with this dam itunes but hey arnt computers great :)

While seeing problems a while back trying out WMP 11 on XP I ran Itunes as the default player having no issues at all. When tossing in a music cd or playing any mp3s on the drive I liked seeing the option for visulations in that as well as with WMP itself making that a good sub.

As far as album art and other automatic downloads that becomes the one thing in WMP I actually don't like there especially when going to create custom play lists following a reinstall of Windows itself. You have to constantly delete all the jpgs out of the folders for mp3 files. When running WMP 10 while booted in XP the other annoyance is the update notification for 11. no thanks!
