iTunes taking over my download options??

I don't know whats going on, but anytime I try to download something from the internet - picture, zip file, etc it is saved as an itunes media file? I don't even have another option in the drop down menu - What the heck? I tried to compress a bunch of word documents today as a zip folder to email and my computer formatted it as an iTunes file. What's going on here and how do I fix it?

Thanks for your advice!

I think this may solve your problem. Before you do this, create a system restore point just in case you have to revert back to an earlier point on your computer. Do this by:
1. Go to 'start'
2. Right-click 'Computer'
3. Select 'Properties'
4. Go to 'System protection'
5. Go to the 'System protection' tab
6. Click 'create'

Now that you've created a restore point, do the following:

1. Go to 'start'
2. Press Windows Logo Key + R
3. Type 'regedit', press enter
4. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER
5. Expand Microsoft
6. Expand Windows
7. Expand CurrentVersion
8. Expand Explorer
9. Expand FileExts
10. Expand .mov (Or whatever the file extension is of the iTunes media you're having trouble with)
11. Right-click userchoice
12. Click 'Export' to back up that registry subkey and save it in case you delete it and it's the wrong one
14. Right-click userchoice again
15. Click delete
