I've entered a continueum of a failed install of windows 7, and a failed revert

hi,

Tried to install windows 7 through upgrade method, then install didn't work and told me to revert back to windows vista. later said that it could not go back to vista, therefore, i am stuck between a half loaded 7 and a non revertable windows vista. i tried to install vista again by inserting the boot disc and restarting, still stuck in the continuom. tried windows xp boot disc, didn't work. Here is what my continuom looks like (except in black and white):


Choose an operating system to start, or press TAB to select a tool:

Windows 7
Windows Setup Rollback


To specify an advanced option, press F8.


any ideas on how to put my computer's hard drive into a no OS state??

Yes, put your Windows 7 install disc in and boot from it. There's generally a key listed as the BIOS splash screen shows up that tells you to "Press Esc" to enter Boot Menu. (your key may be different)

Don't choose Upgrade...choose "Custom (advanced)" as your install selection.

Click on the partition where your current version of Windows resides and format, click next, etc.

its so much faster than vista! this is so awesome!
