Hello all new forum poster here. I registered here after reading some of the threads here. My main concern is that I'm afraid that I might have a virus or something else on the pc that might be harmful. I was hoping on of you guys could be so kind to take a look at this log file from Hijack This.

You are running the older version of hijackthis, please uninstall it and then download and install the newer version here.

Click on the blue colored installer link under where it says "hijackthis downloads"

Now post a new logfile from the new version.

Are you actually having any issues at the moment? I see you have AVG, have you ran any virus scans?

regarding your question. Today was actually the last time I scanned it, but I can't help but notice my pc is running slower and I don't acting funny I guess.
 
I don't see anything bad at the moment. Have you ran Malwarebytes Antimalware yet?

Make sure it is fully updated before running and post a log file after it is complete.

It's also possible that your system is just getting cluttered with temp files slowing it down(it will do that) Have you ran Ccleaner to clean out your old temporary internet files and emptied your recylce bin? Is it time for a defrag?
 
Sorry for the long reply. Anyway my computer still feels funny, it seems that whenever I'm on another program (like watching a video on full screen or when playing a game) it suddenly tabs back to the desktop, for no apparent reason what so ever, every 45min.

Yes I've done that recently, it still tabs back to the desktop. Haven't defraged it yet.

Hi! I had this problem just recently but its solved now. Are you using AVG 9.0? If you are then "GAME MODE" is causing your problem on your full screen game making it minimize by itself. Just follow this steps 1. open AVG 9.0 - 2. Click on tools then select advanced settings - 3. go to appearance tab, there you can see "GAMING MODE", uncheck the check box stating "Enable gaming mode when a fullscreen application is executed" then click apply and close AVG. Well, hope this helps. That kind of problem was bothering me since before until I found out on how to solve it.

Not just your full screen games also your applications will minimize right?. Just follow my steps above and it will fix it :). Like the other week when i was watching a video (about 1 hour plus video) at exactly 35 minutes I just got shocked the program minimized itself to the desktop for no reason. AVG started having this problems when they updated their program to 9.0.707. Hope their engineers can find a fix for this problem.

Another thing my friend get CCleaner and clean up your registry. When you upload something to photobucket, flickr, or yahoo mail does the progress bar jump to 100% then stops your upload?. If you are experiencing a problem like this also AVG LINKSCANNER is the cause AVG still cannot find a fix for it, what i do is i disable everything in linkscanner in AVG 9.0 and after I disabled it all the problems with uploads are gone when i enabled it it was back. Planning on switching to avira.
