i've got a virus can anyone help

Hi all,

I've got joined the Computer Forum to see if I was able to recieve any help from anyone who is good with computer - thought this would be the best place for some advice!

Basically on Monday my laptop was hit by a nasty virus. It's coming up with a lot of nasty popups, not allowing me to do anything on my computer itself, just really the internet and will not allow me to do a system restore. I'm on windows vista.

If someone could help then please comment me, i'd be so grateful!

You might want to download microsoft Security Essentials from Here

I use it and it is working great for me + its free.

About your virus , i would take backup of all your data , at least the important stuff and get that on to a safe place.

You might want to virus scan that data also after the backup to be safe.

I use UbuntuLiveCD for backup from computers that have had a virus.
