I hope someone here can help me out. I seem to have exhausted google trying to solve this error. If you do a quick search you will see this error comes up during windows 7, 8 and 10 installations. Many people suggest bad ram is the cause, but I have ruled that out. Here's an overview of what I have done so far:

-Computer is functional. Starts bluescreening a lot. I pull out my ssd and all other drives and insert a new ssd. (samsung evo 840 250gb)

-make usb windows 7 install, try installing. error 0x80070570 at "extracting"

-pull all but 1 stick of ram, same error

-try different stick of ram, same error

-put all ram back in, try re-running installation several times (some people suggested doing this), same error

-try new usb stick, reimage windows 7 to new usb stick, same error(using an sd card reader and sd card now (this has worked in the past for me)), same error

-use sd card/reader to make ubuntu installer, works just fine

-use my windows 7 image in ubuntu in vmware player to install windows 7 vm, works just fine

-format ssd, download fresh windows 10 beta iso, burn to sd card/reader, try installing, same error 0x80070570

I really have no idea what to do at this point. It seems like the new ssd should be good, since ubuntu works on it. The iso image i have of windows 7 is good, since it worked in the virtual machine. I even tried 2 different programs to create the bootable usb media (the official microsoft one and rufus). If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

tl;dr getting error 0x80070570 when installing windows 7, tried everything on google, no luck.

holy sweet jesus you did it!
i wonder why my old image worked in my virtual machine.
