Ivy Bridge CPU?

I was reading somewhere that intel was coming out with another CPU from the sandy bridge generation. Anyone know the release date or further information about the ivy bridge?
 
From what I have seen in this forum is that ivy bridge would be releasing in Q3 2011, it will be possibly 6 and 8 core CPUs. I think its also backward compatible with LGA 1155 Mobo. LGA 1156 and 1366 Mobo will also possibly be stopped next year. There is no confirmed news about this though.

It will not be backwards compatible. It will be Socket LGA2011 (sucessor to LGA1366). Seems however that it will be PCI 3.0 and USB 3 native.
 
Dont the sandy bridge motherboards have a problem with the SATA 3 GBps burning out after a year or something? Wonder if the ivy bridge will fix that.

socket 1155 has 1155 pins,as to 2011 pins in socket 2011.the socket 2011 will NOT be backwards compatible with the socket 1155.
