So ok i've done some reading and what not, now on my computer i have

Java 6 update 2
Java 6 update 3
Java 6 update 5
Java 6 update 7
Java SE Development Kit 6
Java SE Runtime Environment 6

I am confused on what exactly i can uninstall and then put the new version on. Im confused because i do take java programming classes and i do not want to uninstall something i need. From what i think i can do is uninstall the ones that say update and then i think the runtime environment one, but im not sure and wanted to make sure.

Unless you have an applet/application that requires a certain version then previous ones can be uninstalled (not deleted)

Leave the development kit alone and uninstall the others and then install the lastest version from here.
