Cmos jumper,
Does a motherboard really need a jumper?
I think I lost mine :/ (so small)
Can any jumper replace it?
Where to buy if can't...

Some older motherboard don't have a CMOS jumper.
Generally you can replace it with any jumper.
Just take out any jumper from any old hardware you have.

The default position for the jumper there is neutral. When moving that over between pins 1+2 to 2+3 you are actually creating a mild short to ground to clear any changes made to the factory default settings. On many newr boards you simply pop the battery out of it's holder and never need a jumper. It was the older boards that required the jumper where often the battery wasn't even touched.

If you lost your jumper, then I think you get scab some from old motherboards. I have tons and tons of these little black jumpers. It depends on your motherboard whether or not it works without a jumper or not,

LOL that's pretty handy. ;) I lose jumpers all the time, I just replace it with the ones I scab from broken motherboards. :D

if your local pc shop didnt give you one jumper for free they would be pretty stingy!

Even if a jumper is accidently dropped(not likely here) onto the board I always know right to grab it and put it back on the pins. Either in or out of a case the board is always horizontal so nothing slides off into Oblivion(and not the game either). Drop by any repair if you do manage to lose one and ask if they have old boards that are total junkers and ask for one off of one of those. The owner will probably ask "how many?" for no charge! :P

There is no jumper for clearing the cmos on that model board. You simply pop the battery out for about 30 seconds. But there is a jumper for clearing something else like bios password. The download page for the manual on that model board is at http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Manual_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=Manual&FileID=15932

With the jumper set in the closed postition the bios password is stored. TO clear that you move the jumper over the one pin to the open position. The screen here shows more on this from the pdf version of the board's manual which is the usual place to look.
