Juss got a new VC but having problems help needed

about a week ago i ordered a PNY 6600 gt agp from newegg. i replaced my 5600 card with this one i deleted the old drivers and installed the new one at nvidia.com. my problem is when i play games there is always something wrong. battlefield 2 there are these huge disclored pixels flashing near the middle of my screen which they come and goo. need for speed underground 2 at time i play the graphics get all messed up for a second then comes back normal at time letters cannot be seen there like all blurred out. act of war. very strange lag it doesnt do a constant lag every now and then it juss freezes for a couple seconds then goes again. its strange that ever since i got this card im having different kind of problems for every game. if some one can help that would be great.

My specs are
MSI k7n2 delta nforce 2 chipset
AMD Athlon 2700 running at 2400
1.5 gig ram ddr pc 3200
and the PNY 6600 gt 128 meg
 
Well i was looking around for potential problems and i found out what im seeing when i play games are called "artifacts" ne one know how to fix this problem???
