Just bought AMD Athlon64 3500 S939... can i soup it up?

I just bought some stuff to make my new pc with and was wondering if there is anything i can do to safely boost the power of any bits, and if anyone has anyother sugestions about any of the equipment.

~120Gb WesternDigital 7200rpm 8MB SATA
~Samsung CDRW 52x32x52
~Samsung DVD reader 16x
~EXCEL 802.11SuperG 108Mbps PCI Wireless card
~Logitech LX700 cordless Desktop
~17" BenQ LCD FP71E 12ms
Have a "cheapo" case & PSU at moment but want to get a nice looking one with lights n stuff.

P.S. how does my system sound so far??

If you want to do some heavy gaming then that is not the best 3d card. Otherwise all good.
