Just build a computer

Me and my friend just put his computer together, everything is plugged in properly, thats not the problem.

When we boot it up it says in the boot up menu that "the cpu is unworkabe or has been changed. Please re-check---- CPU SOFT MENU"

what does this mean?

the CPU is dead or is not functioning. Did you overclock? If you did, then set it back to normal. As a matter of fact, just set it back to defaults in the BIOS and see if it changes anything.

are the two four pin CPU power cables plugged in? i am not sure if it would give that error but it's worth a shot

it was a DOA motherboard. thats all it was, we went and bought a new motherboard and it booted up right away. thanks though guys.

Oh CMON guys... Yall gotta be kidding me...

P35-DS3L requires a flash to used the 45nm CPU's...

It may have also been a DOA motherboard, but take in mind, either way, you still need to flash your CMOS.
