I've just set up my new Samsung 19" wide TFT, and its looking good, however I dont know if i should install the drivers supplied with the monitor, i can't see if there is a benifit to having it installed? everything seems fine so i dont know if i should bother? What do you reckon?
I usually don't install drivers if it works. Sometimes, there's some usefull software to adjust screen image, but you can do that with your graphics card (software) or the monitor it's self. So really it doesn't matter, install them if it won't work or you want to utilize the image adjusting software, or don't install if you think your monitor is fine.
EDIT, Although the one thing I have found is when I play a movie and it plays a dark scene, the darkest areas of the picture seem to pixilate, and shift around a bit. Prob got something to do with the amazing brightness.
Certain LCD's have a greater problem displaying black images (maybe the ones wiht lower contrast ratios). My older LCD has this problem, regardless of my brightness setting. Quite annoying, but you can live with it.
