I don't know too much about cooling so hopefully someone can help me here.
Case fans just plug straight into the power supply, right? Or can some of them go through the mobo instead?
If it helps, I am using a Lian Li PC-K57W case, a corsair 850HX modular power supply, and an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX mobo.
Not counting the fan already built into the PSU, I believe I will have 6 fans. A stock 120mm, a stock 140mm, a Scythe 140mm, a Kingwin 120mm, and 2 Coolermaster 120mm's.
My CPU cooler is a Noctua NH-D14, and I will be using Xfire'd 6950's. Hopefully 6 fans will be more than enough to keep everything cool, and I'll probably go with a negative pressure set up. I guess the things I'm wandering the most is, can my system support this many fans, and are they worth it (or would the actually be a problem, with drawing in too much dust and such)?
