Just installed new parts, Computer not booting up.

Just bought a new proc, gpu, and psu.

I am not 100% sure I plugged everything in correctly and my monitor plug is now having issues staying in the onboard plug. When I boot the computer, it runs, but my monitor says no signal. I am assuming that I forgot to plug something in on the mother board.

I plugged the fan for the cpu.
I plugged in the huge plug onto the mobo.
I plugged into the hdd
I plugged into the gpu
I plugged into the disc drive

The one thing I am unsure of is I am pretty sure I remember unplugging something from a slot on the mobo that was square with four little squares inside it. However, on my new psu the closest thing to that plus is a rectangle with 6 squares inside it. I have no plug on my psu to match that outlet.

I can try to take a picture of my mobo if that would help. I have tried manually holding in the monitor plug but is just blinks to no signal, then the monitor shuts off.

Did you ground yourself whilst installing the new hardware? You ground yourself by touching something bare metal such as a screw in your case with the PSU plugged in but turned off. That's the first thing that springs to my mind, if you didn't ground yourself you may have caused ESD and then your components won't work.

I would make sure firstly that the CPU is in correctly, make sure there are no bent pins, then I'd make sure you remembered to plug the 4-pin CPU power connector into the board and the 6-pin or 8-pin power connector for your graphics card firmly (it may be lose, take it out and plug it back in again). Which CPU and graphics card are you using, and which PSU are you using too? If you have plugged everything in, re-seat your graphics card, and then take out each RAM stick one by one and test each RAM stick in each bay on the motherboard to see if you get a display. It may be that the timings are set incorrectly on the RAM in which case you need to get into the BIOS and adjust them.

Picture's not working by the way.

How can I get into the bios when I have no signal on my monitor?

I am using the cpu, gpu and psu listed in my sig. I plugged a 4 pin connector from my spu in when I installed it. The psu is not connected to my cpu.

The square thing I don't have a connector for looks like this:

After watching some youtube videos i believe that 4 pin connector beautifully illustrated above by yours truly is my cpu power, and I only have 6 and 8 pin connectors. After watching MORE videos I figured out my 8 pin connectors snap off into 4 pins. All Set. Problem Solved.

Right OK so you plugged in the CPU power connector then. I didn't make myself clear enough but what I was trying to across was hopefully you'd come across a good RAM combination such as 1x2GB stick in slot 1 (for example) which would allow you to get a display, meaning you could access the BIOS and adjust the timings. Seems like you've sorted your problem out now though which is great to hear. :)
