Ok My processor is a Athlon 2800. And my motherboard can support a FSB of 400MHz. My processor runs at 333MHz though.

Now i was always tought in my begining classes at College that installing faster ram into a slower running machine isnt a good idea. But i am using it as i type. I bought a 1GB module of PNY to replace my el-cheapo ULTRA brand 512.

My games run 4x better now, everything is fast and easy transition. no more jerkyness.

My question is, Is it safe to run it this way? Is the ram actually running at 400MHz? or is the processor slowing it down to 333MHz? If it is i dont care, but i just want to know if this is healthy for my machine.

thanks guys
