Just installed Vista

I decided to see what Vista was like and so I installed it on my computer and I am now dual booting between XP and Vista.

I really like Vista overall, the whole user interface seems leaps and bounds ahead of XP's. I'm not saying XP had a bad UI but Vista seems to have taken a more refreshed approach and it works! They struck an amazing balance between form and functionality, it really doesn't take long to get used to at all, and if you have the hardware to run it that Aero setup is amazing, it seems a lot smoother opening and closing windows. The sidebar is also really neat, with all the gadgets you can add.

So far I am liking Vista better than XP. It seems that you can tailor it to suit yourself better, and I like the level of personalization.

I will still be using XP for games though.

Glad you like it. I went back and fourth for a while but eventually Vista was the winner with me.

There's no need to use XP for games unless the games you play are very old or written in 16-bit. Anyway, i'm glad you like vista better than XP, but i advise you to install the latest drivers for all your hardware and watch out for the BSOD!

Yeah my laptop originally came with vista i decided after a week or so i would put xp back on as there were just too many bugs i believe now they have resolved most of these issues so now this laptop has a virus and wont shutdown properly i am going to put vista back on and keep the damn thing away from my sister.

I like Vista,it looks better than Xp,runs better and has DX10 support.


yeah i will admit i have got pissed off with it a few times with errors and stuff which made me want to ditch it for good and go for an alternative but i always go back to Vista at the end of the day.

im just hoping that give it some time MS will release more fixes etc.
