Ok like I said I have a Compaq Presario V5000Z and I was wanting more memory for it and it said it uses DDR SDRAM Does that mean this RAM will work with it?

-512MB 333MHz DDR SDRAM Notebook Memory (256 megabit)?

and whats the difference betweeen this RAM and this one? Is one better than the other because of the Megabits?

The more megabits means each chip is denser. This means that each module needs less chips to get 512MB. Either should be ok because that laptop supports 2048MB (max 2 slots) but as per normal the HP site is completely useless. If you want to be safe use the low density (256mbit) module.

Ok I think i found the RAM spot in the bottom of the laptop and unscrewed it but I cant find where the RAM would go theres this big medal thing with the RAM sign on it but when i unscrew it, it wont move so i can lift it up or anything? and if u want I can post a pic of it
