I know I am not the only gamer that wants old games to come back, but with the advanced graphics and physics in mind! I just recently loaded Homeworld 2 up and I love it! Sure the graphics suck, but i think that is the best sci-fi game ever created. I just love how you can control mammoth ships with just a couple clicks. Also, I love the maps and strategy of it! Besides, you really can't get much out of a RTS than this! What games do you want to come back? I know there are a lot of Starcraft people out there! Tiberiun Sun was also a great game... but Generals fell short of the true C&C feeling.
 
I thought Generals was the best one yet for C&C, but I've never been too much of a fan. However, I'm itching for another Starcraft to come out, which should be next, once Blizzard gets done with Ghost. UT2004 was also great, so fast-paced, so many different ways to play... And SimCity 3000 was great as well, didn't like 4 quite as much. Graphics were improved, but couldn't quite get a hang of the gameplay with all the suburb districts...
 
Starcraft? What do you mean? starfract never left, go playopnline ther are still lots of people playing. And They say they have plans for a Starcraft 2 but they wanted to finish the console one first, and they dont know when it will eb out, or when they will even start working on it...
 
Actually that's music to my ears dude! Idk if I like the console version too much though... just have to play it sometime...
 
The console version is COMPELTY different.[I''m talking about the enw one, i forgot the nam,e, not the N64 one lol]
 
It's called Starcraft: Ghost, that's what I was referring to before. And I don't think that Starcraft 2 is going to be out for at least another year and a half, and knowing Blizzard, probably more like 3 years... :smirk:
 
Yeah prabaally, prabally in half a yaer they will start wprking on it with a realease date of a year, and it will take three :P
 
a little while ago i was in the process of getting some older parts together to build an old school gaming system. in the end the only part of the system that was old school was the graphics card which was a pci voodoo 3 3000 16mb lol.... i ended up selling the rest of my system to a friend that was in dire need of a pc. now i only have the card.
i recently installed the original gta, i actually forgot how difficult it was in comparison to all the others that came after lol

If it's a question of games we'd like remade with modern graphics/features, Starcraft would have to be the top of my list. Can't wait for the new one. Homeworld 2 was quite good, but aside from the graphics and interface I prefered the original Homeworld.
 
like post some of the games that you want to come back! Just like to bring back old memories of all the games that we used to play like Homeworld 2, Starcraft, C&C. Like compare how much gaming has evolved. Like< I recently played the original Half-Life and I laughed at it. However, now that I remember, I would spend countless days and nights playing TFC! That was my childhood memory! I remember I played on 2 servers: A4H and the On/Off servers.
 
Starcraft is coming, we all know that, so that leaves Starcraft out of the list. I enjoyed the first Homeworld. Homeworld 2 is good, but doesn't match up to the original. I hate Cataclysm!:mad: Ruined the Homeworld series... then they came out with Homeworld 2 and it was all better:D

I've never played Diablo, but all my friends are obssesed with it even though it is one of the oldest games out there:rolleyes: Oh well, old school is sometimes better:)

I too was going to purchase an old P3 and install my Voodoo 4 into it as some of the old games truly looked better with my P3/Voodoo4 then they do on my current system. My Voodoo 4 got stolen so I never bothered. Sad really when someone is so desperate to steal a Voodoo4 frigging accelerator.
